Enthusiastic about all things energy efficiency. Self taught on various aspects of thermal efficiency, heat loss and energy monitoring / data analysis. Not especially techy in terms of coding; so prefer to let other people do the heavier setting up and configuration aspects of things like Python etc.
Our house was retrofitted by Carbon Coop in 2014 and I have been tracking our household energy consumption since ~2001. We had an ASHP installed in April 2021 so our household is almost fossil fuel free (approx 98% fossil fuel free for direct energy use). Our last remaining item is our gas hob which will eventually get replaced with an induction hob when I get around to it.
