I am a self-employed builder in Ellesmere Port undertaking mainly brickwork ; knock -throughs, restoration, some new build work. Also some plastering work. Have worked with lime mortars for 6 or 7 years. Attended course at Ty Mawr. Very interested to start doing retrofit work but a bit overwhelmed by the complexity and technology. Unsure at the moment how to start gaining experience on actual jobs. Thinking about doing some retrofit on my own house but cost and keeping existing work going is an issue.
