# Member volunteer appeal - for event in Levenshulme 1st Aug!

Hello!

**We are looking for a Carbon Co-op member volunteer support (x1 adult) for an upcoming community event** in Levenshulme on the 1st of August. _Fit Fest, a free community event celebrating health, fitness and wellbeing for all ages._

This is part of our new [Energise project](https://carbon.coop/energise-manchester-2026/#signup), where we are helping households in Moss Side, Rusholme, Longsight, and Levenshulme become warmer, healthier and cosier!

**You do not need any prior experience or knowledge.** It would be a simple role assisting our project officer at our stall. They will provide you with full guidance, and it would be helping with tasks such as handing out energy-efficient goodie bags, giving out leaflets, and assisting attendees in entering info into our tablet.

Please get in touch with my colleague [peter@carbon.coop](mailto:peter@carbon.coop) if you are able to help out, even if it’s for only part of the event. It is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Lorenza_Casini1,

Welcome to the forum.  
Are you aware that the above post is duplicated in another category?

The day looks really fun but unfortunately I live much too far away to take part. My 9 year old son saw the flyer and was really excited until I said that it was a 4 hour drive!

PS/edit: as the author of the topic you can edit the title to change category, rather than posting anew.

Hi Tim,

Yes, I hadn’t realised we had a Members Only area in the forum. So I posted in Uncategorized first. And the forum interface is a bit funny, because when you delete a post, it removes the text but not the entry. So rather than leaving a random empty post, I thought it was clearer to just leave it in both areas of the forum.

I didn’t know you could edit the title to move it into another category. I know now for next time, thank you very much!
