I am looking for the best air purifiers for allergies and dust as my doctor advised me to get one for my bedroom. i have been experiencing constant sneezing, itchy eyes, and trouble sleeping because of allergies acting up lately. i went through reviews from trusted sources like Wirecutter and Reddit and after comparing many options these two kept coming up as the top choices:

However i am having trouble deciding which one would be better for me and i would love to get your expert advice and hoping maybe some allergy sufferers or people with HEPA experience on this forum can also share their advice.i usually keep my purifier running 24/7 in a medium-sized bedroom and want something quiet that actually traps dust and pet dander well. any personal recommended for me? @johnadam I went with the LEVOIT Vital 200S for my bedroom allergies and dust pet dander it is been a total game changer running 24 7 super quietly on low sleep mode with barely any noise and my sneezing itchy eyes have dropped dramatically.The PuroAir 240 is solid too if you want something a bit more powerful for larger spaces but for a medium bedroom the LEVOIT edges it out on reliability and whisper quiet operation. Highly recommend

I don’t use air purifiers but can suggest that you look into improving the number of air changes in the room unless you know that you react to external allergens that ventilation might bring into it.

It is a whole different scenario but we have MVHR with the finest filter on incoming air to give the whole house breathable low humidity air. The son with hay fever doesn’t suffer at home and the neither does the one with eczema.
